Terms & Conditions — PsychVerse

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the PsychVerse mobile application ("the App"), provided by its publisher ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

2. Accounts

You can use the core learning features without an account. If you create an account (via email & password or Sign in with Apple), you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from within the App.

3. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. This license is also subject to the Apple Media Services / App Store Terms of Service.

4. Subscriptions & payments

PsychVerse offers an optional premium subscription that unlocks additional content and features. Purchases are handled by Apple through your App Store account, and subscription management (entitlements, restores) is supported by RevenueCat.

Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal. The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that content, if applicable.
Managing & canceling. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Restore. If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use "Restore Purchases" to recover an active subscription tied to your Apple ID.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled under Apple's policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly; request them through Apple.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Changes apply to future billing periods and, where required, we will notify you and ask for your consent in advance.

The subscription name, length, and price are shown on the purchase screen in the App before you confirm. By subscribing you agree to this document, which also serves as the end-user license agreement (EULA) for the App, together with our Privacy Policy.

5. Free usage limits

Some features (for example, a number of free practice-game plays and a number of free units) are available without a subscription. To keep this fair, the App counts usage against a randomly generated device identifier and may enforce these limits on our backend. Attempting to circumvent these limits — for example by tampering with the App or repeatedly reinstalling to reset counters — is a breach of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.
Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the App or its backend services.
Circumvent security, usage limits, paywalls, or access controls.
Use the App for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purpose.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content without permission.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its content, lessons, games, design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by PsychVerse or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license granted above, no rights are transferred to you. "PsychVerse" and related marks may not be used without our prior written permission.

8. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services including Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and OneSignal. Your use of the App may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these providers. See our Privacy Policy for how these services process data.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY EDUCATIONAL OUTCOME WILL BE ACHIEVED.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PSYCHVERSE AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PsychVerse from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms or misuse the App. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India. This does not deprive you of any protection afforded by the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence: if you are a consumer in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, or elsewhere, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in, and to rely on the mandatory laws of, the place where you live.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
